CPSC DG pays courtesy visit to South Korean Ambassador to the Philippines

On August 3, 2011, Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub paid courtesy visit on H.E. Hye-Min Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines at the Embassy in McKinley Hills, Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines.

Dr. Naim expressed his high appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea through Ambassador Lee, whom he met for the first time after assuming charge of CPSC, for the Government’s strong support to CPSC. He also apprised Ambassador Lee of the various programs lined up for the fiscal year, one of which is the upcoming collaborative Regional Program on Reorienting TVET System for the Global Economy in partnership with the HRDService of Korea. The program is slated in October 2011 at the Seoul Institute for Vocational and Advanced Technology (SIVAT), Incheon, Republic of Korea.

On behalf of the Government, Ambassador Lee congratulated Dr. Naim on his selection for the post of Director General and placed on record his desire to work closely with him with his full support to ensure the success of CPSC. Ambassador Lee, a Member of the Governing Board, affirmed his commitment to assist CPSC in realizing its objectives for the Asia-Pacific region. In gist, he shared about the Green Growth policy of the Korean Government and Korea's foreign-trade relations in the context of economic liberalization and Free Trade Agreements. . He was joined by Atty. Myoung-Joon Kim, Counsellor.

With Dr. Naim were senior academic management and staff comprising of Prof. Rajesh Khambayat, Faculty Consultant and Prof TJ Gayondato, Manager, Projects and Consultancy Division.
