CPSC Signs MOU with RMUTL Thailand

Expanding its network base in Thailand, and continuing good relationship with the former President of the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Assoc. Prof. Numyoot Songthanapitak, Ph.D., now President of the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Thailand (RMUTL), who had been instrumental in the strong partnership between CPSC and RMUT systems, CPSC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RMUTL.

CPSC Director General Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub and Assoc. Prof. Songthanapitak formalized their understanding and intensified their cooperation through the signing of an MOU that serves an agreement on the areas for joint activities; professional fellowship programs; accredited training for professionals; opportunities for faculty and staff and staff development and training.

The MOU also covers implementation of educational and human resources development activities such as joint seminars, workshops, symposia; promotion and expansion of services on accreditation, labor market information systems building and related services and other innovative programs and projects.

The signing took place last February 7, 2014 in Thailand and was witnessed by Asst. Prof. Snit Pipitsombat, Vice President, Office of Academic Affairs and Registration, RMUTL and Ms. Sok Minea, Coordinator.

After the signing, Dr. Naim toured the RMUTL facilities covering several departments, accompanied by key RMUTL personnel.

The CPSC Director General also made a presentation on the "Role and Status of CPSC" to the University Council of theRMUTL to disseminate information on the functions, activities and program offerings of CPSC and further promote its capabilities and benefits it could provide member countries and other stakeholders.
