Dr. G. Kulanthaivel, CPSC Acting Director General, led the staff of CPSC in welcoming Dr. Man-Gon Park, 8th CPSC Director General, in his visit to CPSC last January 21, 2016. Dr. Park was in Manila as a Resource Speaker for the In-Country Program on E-Learning Materials Development and Use of Online Training Delivery Platforms, which was held at the TESDA Headquarters in Taguig City, Philippines.
During the welcome gathering for the former DG, Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel apprised everyone especially the new staff regarding the milestones the College achieved during Dr. Park's stint as the head of CPSC. Among the many innovations that he spearheaded, include the establishment of the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC), the creation of the Web-based Teaching and Learning System (TLS), now the OnCOURSE and the Professional Internship Program for International Experience (PIPIE). With his landmark accomplishments and continued support to CPSC, Prof. Dr. GK expressed his optimism that Dr. Park will be instrumental in further bringing CPSC activities closer to the Korean government and hoped for an increased collaboration particularly on customized and special programs between Korea and CPSC.
In his response, Dr. Park reiterated his commitment to contribute more to the achievement of CPSC's goals and encouraged the organization to further innovate itself to adapt to the changing demands of the global economy.
Dr. Park first served CPSC as a Seconded Faculty Consultant from 1997-2002 and served as Director from 2002-2004 and as Director General from 2004 to 2007. He came with his family comprised of Dr. Myong Hee Kim, who had also been a part of the CPSC academic circle, with his two cute daughters and his mother. The 8th Director General affirmed his strong support and love for the College and promised to continue his collaboration and be a very active member of the CPSC family.
