A team of 14 Doctor of Education (Ed.D) students from the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Iloilo City, Philippines visited the Colombo Plan Staff College on March 16, 2018 to know more about CPSC’s operations and services. The delegation was in Manila for a training and benchmarking exercise as part of their class requirements.
They were led by their president, Dr. Raul F. Muyong and were warmly welcomed by the CPSC officers and faculty consultants led by Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel and Dr. C. Ambawatte. During the opening program, Dr. Muyong expressed his appreciation to CPSC for accommodating their group and enabling them to see how an international organization operates. He also mentioned the productive partnership between CPSC and ISAT-U which he hopes to result in more programs and visits from both parties.
Likewise, Prof. Dr. Kulanthaivel expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit in behalf of the Director General, Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane. He mentioned the willingness of CPSC to further provide training services to its stakeholders and lauded ISAT-U’s efforts to continuously maintain its standing as one of the leading universities on science and technology in the country.
The delegation was then briefed about CPSC’s major services, scope, member country affiliations, APACC and other partnerships through a video presentation and open forum. They were also given a brief tour of CPSC’s facilities and offices.
