CPSC Director General Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub formally conveyed CPSC’s farewell wishes to HE A. Selverajah, Ambassador of Singapore to the Philippines and Member of the CPSC Governing Board in a courtesy visit on February 15, 2012 at the Singapore Embassy in Taguig City. Dr. Naim highlighted his appreciation to the cooperation extended by the Government of Singapore with CPSC which includes close collaboration in annual regional programs with CPSC as a Third Country Partner under the Singapore Cooperation Program (SCP), membership contribution that benefits other member countries and sharing of Singapore’s experiences in human resources development for increasing capacity of teachers and administrators in TVET, among others. To date, CPSC and SCP have implemented four annual collaborative regional programs in Singapore in four consecutive years. Dr. Naim also updated Ambassador Selverajah with various programs of CPSC as well as upcoming joint programs with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Selverajah had been an active Member of the CPSC Governing Board and strong supporter of CPSC for three and half years since he was posted in Manila. As he prepares to assume another post in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after his tour of duty in Manila, and in sincere expression of commitment, Ambassador Selverajah extended his good wishes to CPSC and its future endeavors. He also affirmed the Government’s continued commitment and acknowledgement of the important role of CPSC in the region.
