On the invitation of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization – Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Training (SEAMEO-VOCTECH), the CPSC Director General participated in the 22nd Governing Board Meeting of SEAMEO-VOCTECH held in the ITE College West, Singapore from October 4 to 5, 2011.
During the Learning Session of the 22nd GB Meeting, Dr. Naim shared his insights on the topic “Future Challenges of TVET: Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices.” The session with the theme The Future of TVET: Challenges and Opportunities, was organized to allow members and partners to share regional and country best practices in line with the theme. The session was attended by Governing Board Members of SEAMEO representing 10 member countries. Five of the 10 SEAMEO-VOCTECH member countries are members of CPSC.
CPSC, which recently renewed its cooperation with the SEAMEO-VOCTECH with a formal signing of an MOU held in September 11, 2011 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darissalam, is a regional partner of SEAMEO-VOCTECH, which is the SEAMEO Center headquartered in Brunei and tasked with the advancement of TVET among Southeast Asian countries who are members of the ASEAN 9Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
