The Maldives skills-based training delivery consists of 2 choices for a Two Track, Demand Driven TVET System. Institution-Based Training and Employer-Based Training are equally recognized pathways or tracks to develop a career based on skills training.

Qualification Framework
The Maldives Accreditation Board (MAB) established the first version of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework (MNQF) in 2001. This aims to provide learners, employers and education providers with standardized and quality assured qualifications. The MNQF has undergone revisions to align it with internationally accepted standards.

TVET Financing
The Ministry of Education, as well as the Asian Development Bank, provide the funds of TVET in Maldives. Programs are also initiated by the Government of Maldives and Tourism Industries.
