The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) welcomed the visit of Prof. Dr. Yang Farina Abdul Aziz, Head of Centre for Water Research and Analysis (ALIR), Faculty of Science and Technology, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Dr. Nasser Noor, Consultant, University of Malaya Centre for Continuing Education on April 23 and 24, 2012. The CPSC Director General, Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub led a team of faculty members and support staff in welcoming the visitors through a formal welcome ceremony and discussions at the Main Conference Room.
The main purpose of the visit was to discuss possible collaboration for the Malaysian Global Outreach Project and learn more about the accreditation activities through the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC). Several possible areas for partnership were identified which include join conduct of special internship program for UKM graduating students, international recognition of Malaysian technical and vocational education and training (TVET) schools through APACC, and training of trainers programs for Malaysia.
