The Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) which operates under CPSC conducted the on-site revisit to Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI). The 2-day accreditation exercise held from June 21 – 22, 2012 was attended by 3 accreditors - Dr. Hazrat Hussain, CPSC Faculty Consultant/Accreditation Team Leader; Engr. Farida Javed, Advisor, PEC Lahore/Former CPSC Faculty/Accreditation Team Member; and Engr. Sayed Zulqarnain, Deputy Registrar PEC Islamabad/Accreditation Team Member.
CTTI is located in a 53.36 acres of land with approximately 20 acres built-up area with buildings, equipment and machineries funded by the Japanese Government as a friendship project with the Government of Pakistan. CTTI offers Diploma (DAE) courses in Mechanical, Civil and Auto Diesel and several skills development short courses for operators, mechanics, machinist and steel fixer s, among others. Foreign Courses, NAVTEC, FATA, CPTR and other special courses are also being undertaken at the campus.
The on-site revisit aimed to verify if CTTI is still competent to carry out specific tasks for assessing and enhancing academic and educational quality and if they still meet the seven (7) APACC accreditation criteria – Governance and Management; Teaching and Learning; Faculty and Staff; Research and Development; Extension, Consultancy, and Linkages; Resources, and Support to Students. Results will be announced after deliberation and consensus- of the APACC Board.
