CPSC was privileged by the visit of His Excellency Hirubalan V.P., Ambassador of Singapore to the Philippines and CPSC Governing Board Member to the College on August 2, 2012. The CPSC Director General Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub led his team of Faculty and Staff in welcoming the Ambassador together with Mr. Daniel Wang, Second Secretary (Political), Embassy of Singapore who accompanied His Excellency.
Dr. Naim conveyed his highest appreciation to the Ambassador for taking time to visit the College and for his sincere interest in the activities of the College. In view of this, the Director General introduced CPSC and its activities through the CPSC Briefer and its accomplishments through the Annual Report (FY 2011-2012) presentation. The presentations highlighted several program implementations which demonstrated strong cooperation between CPSC and Singapore.
In response, the Ambassador congratulated CPSC for the wonderful job it has been doing in the field of TVET for the benefit of the member countries particularly for implementing programs that have created significant impacts in the economic and social development of Asia Pacific countries. He said that he fully supports the good relationship of Singapore and CPSC and expressed his commitment to further strengthen the existing collaboration as Singapore puts prime importance to education, believing that education is the key to a country’s development. He further said that Singapore as a country that has achieved progress in its own way is always willing and open to share their best practices and experiences for other countries to learn from. His Excellency thanked CPSC for the warm welcome shown by the team and assured more active and intensified involvement and partnership of Singapore with the College.
