Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub, CPSC Director General delivered the key introductory remarks for the Tertiary Track session at the Digital Education Show Asia 2013 held at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Malaysia upon invitation of Terrapinn Singapore. The conference and show, held from May 27 – 28, 2013, was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, represented by Deputy Minister Hon. Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching, addressed by 55 speakers and moderators and attended by about 500 participants.
The event focused on building the 21st century classroom through the conduct of an international conference featuring various aspects of harnessing digital technology in education, in parallel with an exhibition of the latest innovations in digital learning.

The conference catered to K-12 and Tertiary levels with 50 sessions on e-learning. The exhibition featured 50 world-class solution providers as well as a future classroom demonstration by Microsoft. Dr. Naim delivered the key introductory remarks on Tertiary Track 1: Getting Ready to Change, Getting Connected and Getting to Learn, which set the discussion for the track session’s proceedings. Session speakers of this track discussed the ways of planning and integrating technology into curriculums, how online collaboration systems will change teaching and learning systems, and ways to improve online and distance learning.
Graced by about 500 professionals including principals/deans, teachers/lecturers, school staff, CIOs/IT Managers, Content Managers, E-learning Managers, Curriculum Managers, and Business Development Directors, the show was able to impart innovative teaching strategies and new technologies to develop students of the new generation.
