Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane, CPSC Director General, was given the award as one of the 251 Fabulous Global Education Leaders at the 2019 World Education Congress held in the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai, India on July 4-5, 2019.
The award cited his relevant contributions in the field of technical and vocational education and training in the region as CPSC’s Director General and president of the Asia-Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission. It also recognized his role as a policymaker, manager, author, educator and advocate of various TVET innovations and causes. He also chaired a panel discussion on reorienting education for a sustainable future and also participated in other plenary sessions that invited over 30 resource persons coming from different parts of the world.
The 2019 World Education Congress, already on its eight year, revolved around the theme “Reorienting Education for a Sustainable Future”. This event featured some of the high-profile names in the education sector particularly by Edvance Group of Schools Chairman Dr. Arun Arora; Indira Group of Institutes Chairperson Dr. Tarita Shankar; and Director General of the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Hon. Datuk Dr. Amin Bin Senin. They were all given the opportunity to address the participants on the topic of “Advancing Digital Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”.
