CPSC formalized the establishment of the first CPSC-Asia-Pacific Technical and Vocational Education Center (CAPTVEC) in Bangladesh with a Memorandum of Agreement signed (MoA) between the College and the Dhaka Technical Trainers Training Institute (DTTI) on July 12, 2019.
CPSC was represented by the Director General, Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane. Likewise, DTTI was represented by the Project Director, Dr. Engr. Md. Sakawat Ali, The signing ceremony was witnessed by the CPSC faculty members namely Dr. Vijay Patil, Engr. Sanyog Bhattarai and Engr. Abdul Ghani Rajput, as well as the participants of the Open-Registration Program on Strategic Planning and the CPSC local staff.
Founded in 2012, CAPTVEC is an initiative of CPSC to establish satellite “centers” in the member countries. These centers, hosted by the partner institutions, will function as the main point-of-contact between CPSC and the member country host in which information its functions and academic initiatives will be prominently featured and displayed.
It is expected that DTTI will be more involved in CPSC’s activities in the country, particularly in the training programs. It is also anticipated that Bangladeshi stakeholders will be able to access the publications and other information materials that CPSC regularly disseminates easily and conveniently through DTTI.
