Visit of the delegation to the Crown Institute in Sydney (December 16).
CPSC successfully facilitated the study tour of five (5) Nepalese TVET officials on Technology-Enhanced TVET Delivery for Improving Access and Relevance in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia from December 16- 19, 2019.
The study tour aimed to benchmark on the innovative practices of ICT integration in the TVET delivery system of other countries to achieve the following features:
- Towards ubiquitous lifelong learning – know how Australian institutes use ICT to improve access for learners as well as inclusion to meet diverse learner needs in TVET
- Authentic and simulated learning – determine how Australian institutes illustrate the relevance of ICT in supporting hands-on practical training to achieve skills mastery.
- Enhancing learning engagement and social learning – determine how the Australian TVET system encourages the development of generic skills competencies of learners with different abilities.
- Promoting reflective learning and knowledge creation – know how the Australian TVET system build lifelong learning competencies that can help graduates adapt in e-learning through vocational education and expands training participants' access to professional development opportunities, products, resources and support networks. This is in lieu with an increasing technology-driven learning environment (virtual training content and examples of the equipment the training targets 3D virtual reality system)
In Sydney, CPSC arranged for the visits to Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) and Technical Further Education (TAFE) New South Wales on December 16, 2019. Professor Grant Jones, Dean of CIHE, made a presentation related to Technology - enhanced TVET delivery. He also shared the Student Management System that Crown Institute uses for monitoring the life cycle of students. At TAFE New South Wales, Drutt campus, Mr. Attila Bakacsi, Agent Management & Recruitment Officer welcomed the delegates and facilitated the presentation about the functions of their institute.
The William Angliss Institute, also located in New South Wales, also welcomed the delegates on December 17, 2019 and shared valuable information and practices through the efforts of Ms. Kristin Nguyen, Business Development & Student Recruitment Coordinator.
On December 19, 2019, Chisholm TAFE in Melbourne, led by Ms. Jade Vere-Flint, Regional Manager on International Recruitment provided the delegates with the learning on their innovations on their educational systems and practices.
