A National Seminar on “TVET Sector Reform for Nation’s Prosperity” was conducted by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) Nepal on April 9, 2021 at Hotel Shanker in Kathmandu Nepal. CTEVT tapped CPSC Director General Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane to chair the third session that focuses on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The one-day program features four sessions with the following themes: Skilled Workforce Development: a Key to LDC and MIC Target Achievement; TVET Governance in Federal System; Private Sector’s Engagement to Enhance TVET Quality and Outcomes; and Conceptualization of TVET System Structural Adjustments for Facilitating Learner’s Progression and Employment.
Together with Dr. Lamichhane are the presenters Mr. Birendra Raj Pandey, Director of Nepal Adarsha Nirman Company Pvt. Ltd. and Vice President of Confederation of Nepal Industries (CNI), and three experts as commentators: Mr. Anil Keshary Shah (CEO, Nabil Bank); Mr. Hari Bhakta Sharma (Executive Director, Deurali-Janta Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. and IP President, CNI); and Ms. Shyam Badan Shrestha (Founder Chairperson, Nepal Knotcraft Centre).
