In the context of COVID-19 pandemic and the changing economic scenario that have taken place in the world of work, the partnership and tuning between institute and industry is now widely recognized as an essential requirement to train and develop the right kind of technical work force necessary for sustaining and promoting faster industrial and economic growth. The linkages between industries and institutions are receiving greater importance for improving the degree of relevance of contents and delivery of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
CPSC, as an inter-governmental organization for the development of TVET in the Asia and the Pacific Region organized this online Regional Program to contribute to the raising of awareness and provision of skills and values necessary to put Industry - Institute Partnership for relevant TVET program into practice.

The program was held through the Zoom online platform from June 21-25, 2021 and was attended by 59 participants coming from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Singapore. The topics tackled during the program are: (1) Post COVID-19 Scenario for Industry Institute Partnership; (2) Building Industry-Institution Partnerships in TVET System: Concepts and Principles, (3) Interventions to enhance TEVT-Industry Partnerships; (4) Innovative Models and Approaches in TVET Industry - Institute Partnership and (5) Dual Training System: Concept, Benefits, and Challenges. A special action plan and SWOT Analysis was also required in order to encourage the participants to transmit the lessons into actual practice.
The program was supervised by the Director General, Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane and was coordinated by Engr. Abdul Ghani Rajput, CPSC Faculty Specialist. Engr. Sanyog Bhattarai, CPSC Faculty Specialist, also gave his insights as a resource person.
