The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC), on December 4, 2023 held the International Conference on Revolutionizing the Future Workforce: Transformative Pathways of TVET towards 2030 in Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City. The activity, which was anchored to the Regional Program on Navigating the Future of TVET: Addressing Challenges and Fostering Positive Change, was implemented parallel to the celebration of the Staff College’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
It convened policymakers, educators, industry representatives, and stakeholders from CPSC member governments such as India, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Philippines which were represented by the heads and members of their official missions in the Philippines; as well as representatives from international organizations such as the International Labour Organization, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre; and industry representatives from CPSC partner organizations such as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippines, Labtech International Ltd., and Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation, Inc. to delve into the pressing issues facing the TVET sector.
CPSC’s partnership with the Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) was also reaffirmed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the same morning.
