The Level of Knowledge, Awareness and Sustainable Practices among Merlimau Melaka Polytechnic Campus Residents

Abstract
This research paper was produced to study and examine the level of awareness, knowledge, and sustainable energy practices among the people of Merlimau Melaka Polytechnic Campus as one of the efforts in dignifying and creating a sustainable campus. This study was carried out quantitatively by distributing a survey form to all campus residents and a total of 499 respondents participated in this survey. Findings from this study will be analyzed to determine the level of awareness of campus residents and then formulate plans to create a high level of awareness while practicing sustainable energy practices at the Merlimau Melaka Polytechnic Campus. From the research carried out it was found that the level of awareness and knowledge of campus residents is high, however the level of practice towards campus sustainability is still low. For that, an effort is needed to improve and empower sustainable energy practices at Merlimau Melaka Polytechnic campus to ensure that a sustainable campus can be established.
