The Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) conducted a webinar on Quality Assurance Thru Accreditation which was held on May 17, 2024. A total of 140 TVET practitioners and academicians coming from different countries attended the webinar via Zoom and YouTube platforms. The purpose of conducting the webinar was designed to increase awareness about the importance of accreditation in ensuring Quality Assurance in TVET and share best practices on accreditation processes and procedures in TVET institutions.
The overall facilitation of the webinar was under the helm of the APACC team together with Dr. Kesavan Ulaganathen, Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) Governing Board-Engaged Faculty Consultant and Engr. Dr. Mian Khuram Ahsan, CPSC Senior Faculty Specialist who were both involved in the webinar as resource speakers.
Furthermore, Dr. Kesavan discussed the Concept of Quality Assurance, Quality Components, Quality Drivers, and Quality Standard in TVET, while Engr. Dr. Mian further elaborated on Accreditation and Certification of TVET Institutions in the Asia Pacific Region through APACC. Following the sessions, the APACC team moderated a short question and answer session for the participants as a conclusion of the webinar proper.
