About CPSC
The CPSC is an inter-governmental international organization for Human Resources Development and a specialized agency of the Colombo Plan in Asia and the Pacific region. It was established on 5 December 1973 to assist the member countries of the Colombo Plan in developing and enhancing their technical education systems.
The main functions of CPSC include:- Provide training programs of further professional education and training to persons responsible for the planning, development, administration and supervision of TVET and persons in key supporting roles;
- Conduct conferences, symposia, and workshops on various aspects of TVET;
- Assist in the conduct of projects in the field of staff and curriculum development and other projects aimed at the effective utilization of resources for learning and teaching;
- Promote, coordinate and undertake research and development projects for knowledge sharing and benchmarking in TVET;
- Advise and assist member countries in developing their technical teacher education and training facilities;
- Collect and disseminate information on technical education and training; and
- Act as a facilitator of member countries in the transformation of TVET framework by modifying the training and development strategies, program offerings and research and development efforts.
To date, CPSC maintains the active membership of 16 countries which are provided with capacity building programs in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs for human resources development.
For Programs and Project Implementation
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sending invitations to the program participants
- Collect program participants data and encode on the learning management system
- Assist in facilitating online training program
- Collect and ensure completion of program materials
- Provide other administrative support to the assigned program/division
For ICT and Media Services
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers, and servers
- Computer upgrade and maintenance
- Run software updates backups when requested
- Graphics and layout designs
- Video editing
- Provide technical support during program implementation as requested
For Research and Publications
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing content and articles for the website
- Update contents and screen inquiries at the CPSC social media accounts
- Organize publications and books at the library
- Graphics and layout designs
- Gather data and information for various research projects
- Provide other administrative support to the assigned program/division
- Assist in library management
For HR and Finance Administration
Responsibilities:
- Assist in screening forms and resumes of applicants
- Plan and schedule interviews with candidates
- Manage job advertisements on job portals and social networks
- Collect attendance records of the employees
- Update internal database with employee data including contact details, etc
- Assist in general HR activities
- Assist in organizing the division's records such as, but not limited to, files/vouchers, documents and official receipts
- Assists in accounting-related tasks such as: encoding daily transactions, bills, and receipts, recording and monitoring billing statements; preparing bills, invoices, debit/credit notes
- Perform other simple accounting tasks that may be required from time to time
Requirements
- At least 300 hours or as required by the University/College; with class schedule that allows the student to work at least three (3) days each week for at least six (6) hours each day
- Preferably an upcoming 4th/5th year College Students in pursuit of a degree in related fields
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fast learner and highly trainable
- Computer literate and familiar with videoconferencing, online messaging, emails and google drive
