The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) Director General, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, attended the celebration of 46th Anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Iran and met the Honorable Ambassador of Iran to the Philippines, H.E. Yousef Esmaeil Zadeh, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Metro Manila on February 6, 2025.
Through this celebration, Prof. Dr. Dhameja met with the following distinguished guests: Nihei Daisuke, Minister of Economic Affairs, Embassy of Japan to the Philippines; Mr. Ron P. Salo, Representative of KABAYAN Partylist, Philippines; Sec. Dante Francis M. Ang II, Chairperson of the Commission on Filipino Overseas; Ms. Celina Cua-Bayot, Assistant Director for Socio-Cultural Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of United Nations and International Organizations (DFA-UNIO); and Mr. Ramon C. Garcia Jr., Honorary Consul of Portugal to the Philippines.
He also met with some CPSC Governing Board Members, including H.E. Dato’ Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Ambassador of Malaysia; H.E. Dr. Chanaka Talpahewa, Ambassador of Sri Lanka; Hon. San Yu Kyaw, Chargé d'Affaires/Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Myanmar in the Philippines; and Mr. Rangsant Srimangkorn, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy.
The event served as a good opportunity for the CPSC DG to introduce CPSC to external stakeholders and expand its linkages for potential collaborations.
