The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) Director General, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, joined the prestigious celebration of 76th Republic Day of India and the 75th Anniversary of India-Philippines diplomatic relations. The event was hosted by the Indian Embassy in Manila, on January 28, 2025 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Metro Manila.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Dhameja engaged with some distinguished ambassadors, including H.E. Constance See Sin Yuan, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Philippines; H.E. Dato’ Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines; and H.E. Dr. Chanaka Talpahewa, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Philippines. He also met with key officials and personally introduced himself to Mr. Johnny Chotrani, Chairman of the Philippines-India Business Council; and Mr. George T. Barcelon, Chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Since 1947, the bilateral relationship between India and the Philippines has flourished across the trade, education, and culture sectors. The event also commemorated India's 76th Republic Day, which is celebrated every January 26. In this context, CPSC has played a vital role in shaping TVET in collaboration with India through regional and in-country training programs. India has long been a partner and collaborator with CPSC.
