The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) extends its greetings of peace and harmony to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in commemoration of its 55th Independence Day on March 26, 2025. We wish our Bangladeshi friends a prosperous independence celebration this year 2025. Happy Independence Day!

During the celebration, many people wear the same colors to show pride in their national colors. The green represents progress, youth, and the nation’s lush landscape, while the red means sacrifice, rebirth, and the rising sun.
A thirty-one gun salute starts off the significant day, as well as the hoisting of the Bangladesh flag. The main streets are decorated with colors of the Bangladesh flag while the people are encouraged to wear traditional clothing during this special day to feel the essence of belongingness, unity and national pride.
