About CPSC
The Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC) is an Inter-governmental International Organization for Human Resources Development. It aims to assist its 16 member countries in Asia and the Pacific Region in developing and enhancing their technical education systems through capacity-building programs, research, technical assistance, and knowledge transfer in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
The main functions of CPSC include:
- Provide training programs of further professional education and training to persons responsible for the planning, development, administration, and supervision of TVET and persons in key supporting roles;
- Conduct conferences, symposia, and workshops on various aspects of TVET;
- Manage customized programs on TVET planning, development, and evaluation;
- Undertake research and development projects for knowledge sharing and benchmarking in TVET;
- Assist member countries in developing their technical teacher education and training facilities;
- Collect and disseminate information on technical education and training; and
- Act as a facilitator of member countries in the transformation of the TVET framework by modifying the training and development strategies, program offerings, and research and development efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant for Programs and Projects
The Administrative Assistant provides support in performing general administrative work. He/she assists the Team Leader in planning and preparing the requirements for the implementation of training programs, projects, and other related activities of the Staff College.
Specific Duties
- Assist the team leader in scanning potential projects and consultancy opportunities and draft proposals for submission to development and other funding organizations;
- Prepare communication and coordination letters (invitations, confirmation and coordination letters, acceptance, appreciation letters, etc), and prepare subsequent responses as deemed necessary;
- Prepare program-related materials such as registration and datasheet forms, certificates, IDs, nameplates, and training supplies (pen, paper, markers, etc); collect and assemble all program materials needed prior to program implementation;
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials (e.g. formatting of program books, theme papers, tasks, ppt presentations) and end-of-program reports;
- Facilitate international and local travel arrangements (visa, tickets, accommodation) for program participants, CPSC staff, and/or other external experts;
- Provide assistance and attend to participants' various concerns during programs; Respond and attend to various inquiries and requests by the participants and guests;
- Prepare program/project end-of-program and summative evaluation reports;
- Organize and maintain divisional records and documents;
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- University Degree in administration, management, education, communication, international development studies, or any related fields.
Experience
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience particularly in the program and/or events planning and organizing.
Technical Competencies

- Knowledgeable in local and international travel requirements and arrangements
- Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken
- Proficient in computer applications and systems used in office work

Remuneration and Benefits
- Starting gross monthly salary: Php 26,000 to Php 31,000 depending on the applicant’s qualifications
